MORFOMETRÍA DE LAS LAGUNAS DE LA LOMADA NORTE. CORRIENTES, ARGENTINA

Resumen

Este trabajo se refiere a las lagunas ubicadas sobre la Lomada Norte de la provincia de  Corrientes, Argentina. La observación de  imágenes  satelitales anticipa la clasificación  morfológica de las mismas, como lagunas circulares. Dentro de los parámetros morfométricos el desarrollo de la línea de costa (DL ), mide  el grado de irregularidad de la costa; en otras palabras, es una medida que permite conocer cuán circular es una laguna, considerando que el valor de 1 corresponde a un círculo y a medida que se aleja de dicho valor la forma es más irregular. En función de lo expuesto, el objetivo de este trabajo es el de clasificar a las lagunas de la Lomada Norte según sus valores de DL  y para ello se han digitalizado un total de 925 lagunas correspondientes a la totalidad de cuerpos  de  agua  lénticos  existentes  sobre  la  Lomada  Norte.  Corrientes, Argentina.

The following study concerns to the lagoons located on the Lomada Norte of Corrientes Province, Argentina. Observing satellite images we can anticipate the morphological classification of the shallow lakes, as circular ponds. Within morphometric parameters, the shoreline development (DL ), measures the irregularity   degree of the coast. In other words, it is a measure that lets us to know how circular is a lagoon, considering that the value  1 corresponds to a perfect  circle and as you move away from that value, the shape is more and more irregular. Considering the previous statement, the aim of this paper is to classify the shallow lakes of Lomada Norte according to their DL values.  A total number of 925 lakes have been digitized; they  are  all  the  existing  lentic  water  bodies  on  the  Lomada  Norte,  Corrientes, Argentina
